As Sr. Manager of the Advisor Path Team, you play an essential and impactful role that leads the daily operations and success of the advisor path team. This is a role where you can bring your passion for coaching, leadership, and sales, to a firm that will value your contributions and champion your growth. You will be leading a prospecting team speaking with advisors turning independent from wirehouses, independent broker dealers, trust/bank channels, and fee-based independent investment advisors who would like to engage with Schwab to learn more about becoming a new custody and trading services client. You have the unique opportunity to center your work around development and growth - for clients, your team, and yourself. In collaboration with, and under the guidance of, the Managing Director, Business Development, you will coach a driven team of professionals, attending to performance management and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Align team objectives with business goals, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance and client satisfaction.
- Coaching & Development: Mentor and develop team members across multiple grade levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Operational Excellence: Identify process improvement opportunities, enhance workflow efficiency, and proactively manage operational risks.
- Emotional Intelligence: Cultivate a supportive, inclusive team environment, effectively managing conflict and adapting leadership approaches to diverse team dynamics.
- Communication & Influence: Serve as a strong advocate for the team, communicating clearly and persuasively with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years in the financial services industry with leadership experience
- Experience in lead generation, sales, or business development, preferably within financial services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and engage prospects effectively
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance metrics in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with a keen focus on accuracy, proficient in CRM tools and lead tracking systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
- A valid and active Series 7 license
- A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license
- A valid and active Series 9/10 (8) license required (may be obtained within a 90-day condition of employment)

- Demonstrated business development experience with a strong drive for results
- Passion to focus on retention and development of top talent through coaching, performance management, and employee engagement
- Passion for the client with the ability to strengthen and retain client relationships
- Results driven, highly motivated self-starter who possesses integrity, a strong work ethic and a passion for helping clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize
- Demonstrated ability to be agile in changing environmental, economic, and client need scenarios
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to develop and maintain good cross-enterprise working relationships
- Advanced technical skills, with the ability to utilize different applications at one time, including Windows, internet researching, database systems, and email
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable policies and procedures and applying ethical standards to every business activity in which they engage
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in the conduct of their business activities and professional dealings and to avoid even the appearance of impropriety
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
