Within Human Resources, we are hiring for three different departments - Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and Training & Organizational Development. Within all of these teams within Human Resources, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture and immerse you into your 9-week paid internship role. The interactive program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, volunteering in the community, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths!

Talent Acquisition

In this role, you will collaborate with both Talent and Sourcing Advisors to gain practical experience, as well as learn and contribute to full-cycle corporate recruiting (opening a requisition, hiring manager intake, sourcing, screening, scheduling, etc.). You will leverage research to drive Talent Acquisition initiatives that address recruiting or market challenges that we may face as an organization.

HR Transformation

In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with Schwab's HR leaders and teams, developing and executing transformation strategies to meet business needs. Our Transformation team supports large scale HR initiatives in varying areas such as strategy, process optimization, project management and execution.

Total Rewards

In this role, the intern will help administer our Executive Compensation Program, including compensation for our executive population, equity programs and compensation risk management. You will build real-world experience improving multiple transferable skills like communication, project management and problem solving.

Training & Organizational Development

In this role, you will support the teams responsible for implementing firm-wide business talent and organizational development initiatives. This may include coordinating and facilitating People Leader and employee initiatives, assisting in the creation/development of materials, researching best practices and latest trends within People Leadership and employee career development, and analyzing feedback/data to make recommendations on the continuous improvement of our programs/initiatives. If you are passionate about continuously improving programs and processes to support employees and clients, this is the role for you.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a current undergraduate or graduate program tracking to start full-time employment between August 2025 and June 2026
  • Ability to work full time and be on-site at one of the Schwab locations during the 9-week program (June 9 to August 8, 2025)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • An innovative and questioning demeanor, who constantly look for better ways to do things, have a passion for service, and seek to exceed client expectations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, key business and HR partners to demonstrate influence to initiate action and deliver on initiatives
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose
  • Curiosity and aptitude to be flexible in a dynamic environment

HR Transformation

Training & Organizational Development

Target total compensation - $24-$35 per hour
