The SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for implementation, planning, testing, troubleshooting and management of database related projects either On-Prem or in Azure.
This will include installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining SQL Server for a healthcare database environment as part of one or more projects, including providing high security of protected health information, monitoring and investigating issues with production applications, evaluating and identifying operational issues within the databases.
The SQL DBA will be responsible for working on tickets and monitoring of the databases related to those projects.
This will also include completing user requests for access, change requests, scripts and responding to performance issues for related project database servers.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
At least 6+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - 2019.
Strong understanding of DBA concepts.
TSQL (scripting, stored procedures, triggers, query development), Clustering/Always On technology, Log Shipping, Replication, High Availability Database and SQL Performance Analysis (Index Management and Query Plan Assessment).
SQL installation and configuration, Troubleshooting and RCA experience, Incident Management
Knowledge and Experience with Best Practices and Standards.
SQL monitoring tools (Idera, Spotlight, SCOM, Zabbix, SQL Sentry, Foglight, SolarWinds).
Experience with ETL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, OLAP, OLTP.
Security and User Management.
Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery Procedures.
Standardized Database Maintenance.
Upgrade planning, migrations, implementations, installs for SQL Server versions including 2005, 2008, 2012,2014,2016,2017,2019.
Multiple Data Center management, migrations and support.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $49,400 - $146,800.
