Position Description
CGI is actively seeking a Business Consultant - Momentum ERP, preferably with federal accounting experience, to join the team supporting an agency with improving their finance and accounting business and systems processes. The member would join a well-established team in support of a dynamic task to support the client's efforts to prepare for the generation of financial statements and associated audit. The member would get the chance to work closely with and learn from team members with significant federal financial management expertise as they complete analysis, recommend and assist in implementing improvements, and provide documentation and training to the client. This is a phenomenal client-facing opportunity to expand your federal financial management and consulting experience.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
1) Support testing activities including developing test cases and performing testing.
2) Document issues and resolutions, process maps, standard operating procedures, as well as other documentation as needed clearly and concisely.
3) Participate in client status meetings and document outcomes of those meetings.
4) Perform general ledger analysis and reconciliation, identifying transactional issues and recommending solutions.
5) Assist with developing Momentum system posting model recommendations following Treasury's United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) guidelines.
6) Support Government wide Treasury Account Symbol (GTAS) and financial statement reporting, including analyzing issues, reviewing Momentum system configuration, and recommending changes.
7) Support financial statement audit preparation including identifying issues and data cleansing.
8) Assist with preparing training materials and conducting informal and formal training as needed.
9) Learn and be involved in client business development activities including presentations and proposals.
10) Proactively identify business opportunities that improve client outcomes and best-in-class innovations and solutions that can support client mission.
11) Build strong consulting skills and relevant domain knowledge to provide strong client connection and impact.
12) Develop strong, positive relationships with clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
1-3 years of Momentum Experience
Software Testing experience
Issue resolution experience
Direct client-facing experience
Federal financial management/accounting
Good Communication Skills (Oral/Written)
Functional/Data Analysis
Teamwork Experience
Learning Agility
Ability to work independently
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Business Consulting Skills
Business Process Reengineering (BPR) experience
SAP Business Analytics
Functional experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
Functional experience with Robotic process automation (RPA) or other automation experience
CGFM or CPA
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $49,400.00 - $116,000.00.
