Position Description

CGI Federal is looking for an Accountant/Financial Analyst to support a federal agency.
Your future duties and responsibilities
What you'll do: (assignments may include responsibilities in one of more of the following areas):
Develop knowledge of a client s industry, customers, organization and business objectives.
Analyze and solve federal financial and budget management related challenges for our clients to create or improve a system, process, data, controls and other.

Provide quality client support by answering questions and fostering communication.
Candidate will work on assessing processes, documents, organization structure, and system activities to identify gaps, provide recommendations, innovation and solutions.
Candidate will work closely with the client staff, production team, and development team to translate client issues and concerns into workable solutions.
Provide in depth Federal Financial and budget analysis to guide the client.
Provide research to identify causes for errors, manual processes, workflow and control issues.
Support client in complying with federal regulations, policies and procedures to promote sound, consistent financial and budgetary practices.
Assist with developing training materials and conducting training.
Support periodic financial reporting preparation in compliance with federal regulations
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Years of Accounting/financial experience 2-4
Years of Enterprise Resource Management Planning Systems experience 2-4
Passion for working with customers in accounting-related disciplines

-Strong Microsoft Excel skills
-Experience working with financial/accounting systems (federal is preferred)

Experience with audits (federal is preferred)
Experience with federal budget analysis and formulation and execution cycles
CGFM or CPA
CISA
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,700 - $116,100.
