Position Summary
Assist students, either individually or in small groups, in the review of course material, solving problems and preparing for tests.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Help students review course material and problem solving.
- Coordinate workshops and study groups for students; conduct marketing activities such as class visits and new student orientations.
- Be a communication link and faculty liaison.
- Guide students in selecting and using material to meet learning needs.
- Maintain a weekly calendar of available hours for student appointments.
- Maintain instructional materials (e.g. textbooks, calculators, & software).
- Collect and analyze data.
- Participate in required tutor training.
- Provide guidance in the absence of a Learning Center Supervisor as delegated and assist ACE Management with recruiting, screening, hiring, orienting, mentoring and retaining new peer (student), and volunteer tutors.
- Perform other similar responsibilities and level of assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of thirty (30) hours of postsecondary course include nine (9) hours in the discipline; content courses must be completed with a grade of B or better.
- Required at time of application: unofficial transcripts with course names and grades, resume or CV, cover letter.
Preferences:
- Bilingual - Spanish Speaker
- Proficient in multiple Mathematics classes ( up to Calculus III, Statistics, Geometry).
- Proficient in multiple Science classes (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
