Position Summary
Provides customer service and support by managing computer systems in a networked environment, including desktops, laptops and servers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides customer service by researching and answering customer questions related to use of computer software and hardware; answers calls and provides first contact resolution when possible; troubleshoots, diagnoses and offers remote assistance to users; utilizes remote desktop support tools to service and repair software problems.
- Evaluates, standardizes, implements, manages, troubleshoots and maintains customer workstations with approved operating systems.
- Implements, administers and manages computer systems; installs, configures and maintains locally installed and server based application software; and performs desktop computer systems.
- Utilizes service management system tools to maintain accurate records of work
- Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
- Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a related field and one (1) years of related experience in the operation and/or maintenance of audio-visual equipment.
OR
- High school diploma or GED and successful completion of post-secondary education coursework in computer science, information technology or related field, and one (1) year of directly related experience, including customer service experience.
- Upon successful completion of Associates Degree in MIS or a related field and three (3) years of related experience, Technical Support Technician employees are automatically considered for reassignment into a Technical Support Specialist position.
Preferences:
- 1+ year(s) of experience in audio-visual technology.
