Position Summary
Under general supervisor, the Inventory Technician is responsible for transferring facilities inventory from one area to area in an orderly and safe manner. Loads and unloads product, completes required paperwork. The Inventory technician maintains the facilities inventory list on the website.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides Facilities Management with inventories of available equipment and furniture to meet the needs of the College's requirements. Inventory to include content, physical location, organization and efficiency.
- Uses computer programs and databases to prepare, track and update location and quantity of surplus accessories, equipment and furniture.
- Assists in photo logging and updating the computerized "Facilities Surplus List" web link viewed by staff and faculty.
- Keeps storage and work areas orderly, clean, and safe; ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
- Maintains files, records of materials, prices, deliveries and moves.
- Handles disassembly of furniture and assembly of furniture gone through the approval process.
- Transports equipment using trucks, pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Assists with setup of College events such as graduations, convocations. This includes the setup and breakdown after the event is complete.
- On occasion, due to special College events, position may require flex schedule.
- On occasion, can be called upon to assist the Facilities Project Managers in field verification or other duties during a project.
- Assists with picking up all surplus and salvage property for re-distribution, disposal or recycling for auction. Other daily activities include helping students with directions and questions at all CNM campuses.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- This position requires a valid unrestricted Driver's License
