Position Summary
Ensures Open Computer labs or classrooms are operational and provides supplementary instruction-tutoring assistance to students and teachers in classrooms, workshops or open lab facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides advanced CS-CIS curriculum tutoring support, in-person and online.
- Oversees the operation of assigned computer labs to ensure a safe, orderly, neat, clean and secure working environment.
- Provides computer and technical support in the installation, operation and minor repair of computers, related software, hardware and other related equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
- May setup advanced or technical equipment for the computer labs.
- May provide assistance in the participation and distribution of materials for instructors, which include setting up demonstrations, preparing materials and equipment for lectures, creating handouts.
- Receives and inventories; order, receive, catalog, and store tools, and equipment in accordance with established procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimums
- High school diploma or GED.
AND
- Successful completion of thirty (30) hours of postsecondary course work to include a minimum of nine (9) hours in the specific computer science, programing, or networking disciplines; content courses must be completed with a grade of B or better. Proficient in basic computer literacy.
Preferences
- Experience with Linux, Python programming, Java, C++ or other programming proficiencies.

- This is a fulltime 1920 hours Instructional Support Tech position. Computer lab shifts are located at Main Campus or South Valley Campus dependent of coverage needs.
