Position Summary
The Financial Analyst performs and/or oversees strategic, broad-impact financial analysis, reporting, and systems development for a major, multi-unit operating entity of the college. This position leads and coordinates the design and implementation of financial, accounting, and budget systems and reports. The Financial Analyst has involvement with the development and delivery of financial and business training programs as appropriate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Compiles and analyzes financial information from all components of the department or College, and develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinates, compiles, and analyzes annual financial statements for the College and its component units, utilizing complex spreadsheet and database applications.
- Collaborates with and coordinates all components of the organization to ensure consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines, and conformity with organization fiscal policies and procedures.
- Represents the department by collaborating on work teams and performs related functions including research, testing, enhancements and upgrades.
- Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal financial reporting systems and procedures for the College or Business Office and partners.
- Acts as a resource for other staff within department and provides training as needed.
- Communicates timely and provides accurate program status updates as required.
- Serves as budget advisor to management and monitors restricted budget compliance.
- Designs, coordinates, and implements training programs for personnel within the organization for the Business Office regarding the nature and application operating policies and procedures.
- Provides leadership, administrative management, and operational coordination to various technical, professional, and/or administrative personnel engaged in specified project activities, as appropriate to the position.
- Interfaces with internal and/or external auditors in the response, research, and resolution of problems related to transactions handled by the unit.
- Serves as liaison with other constituencies in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferences:
- Higher Education Experience
- Reconciliations Experience
- Fixed Asset Management Experience
