Position Summary
Primary responsibility is to ensure applications complies with federal and state regulations and institutional policies and assisting in determining levels of financial aid eligibility. Processes and tracks financial aid and scholarship awards, which enable students to plan for payments of tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs daily activities of assigned financial programs and coordinates with staff and outside agencies to insure compliance with applicable regulations and Institutional policies as related to the assigned programs.
- Reviews and processes student scholarship applications and supporting documentation for participation in financial aid programs.
- Ensures applications are in compliance with federal and state regulations and institutional policies.
- Evaluates student academic records for satisfactory progress to determine continuing eligibility for financial aid programs and reviews and approves continued eligibility for financial aid programs and applications for financial aid deferments.
- Utilizes student funds management system for entering, auditing and accessing data.
- May assist with other processes within Enrollment Management and Student Success.
- Monitors scholarship deadlines and ensures availability of scholarship applications.
- May perform other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
- Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and two (2) years related experience.
- OR
- Associate's degree and six (6) months related experience.
- This position may require working in different areas within financial aid, such as scholarships, financial aid technician, and supporting the One-Stop Student Success team. Provides information, in-person, on the telephone, and by email, to students, prospective students, and families regarding student financial aid.
