Job Purpose:

To ensure that all temperature controlled stock is picked, packaged and assembled in accordance to the cold chain guidelines, whilst meeting the company's productivity and accuracy targets.

All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP - REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix

Key Accountabilities

• To accurately assemble fridge items as dictated by the pick note
• To ensure that the cold chain 2 - 8C for assembling fridge items is maintained at all times as per the internal cold chain procedures
• Ensure that all cold chain items are packaged in the correct manner using the relative bags and labels for identification purposes
• To report any variances outside of the cold chain immediately to the Shift Supervisor
• To report any filling errors to the Shift Supervisor
• To ensure that the assembler is familiar with pack sizes and hospital lines
• To be responsible for assembling orders in the correct sequence
• To ensure that stock is date checked in accordance with the company guidelines
• To ensure that any unusual quantities are brought to the attention of the Shift Supervisor. All 100+sku's must be signed by a Supervisor.
• To retrieve any stock which has fallen on the floor as soon as is practicable
• To ensure that stock is assembled in such a way so as to avoid damages
• To maintain good housekeeping of the fridges
• To adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are "essential requirements" of this role.
