What you will be doing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the execution of corporate-wide pharmacy strategies and the standardization of practices across the entire national network.
  • Perform duties and tasks as assigned by manager, which may change from time to time, for example:
    • Address Innomar Pharmacies (IP), which include Innomar Pharmacy Partner Pharmacies, questions that arise (pending fees, copays, delivery issues, excessive/insufficient inventory, reports and reconciliation, insurance audits, internal and external compliance, and audit reviews).
    • Maintain reports, including the collection of operational reports from Innomar Pharmacies, consolidation of reports for internal and external clients, review of reports to ensure accuracy, and follow-up with Innomar Pharmacies on discrepancies in reports.
    • Assist with Pharmacy Initiatives, including retro-billing tracking, reconciliation of inventory and transactions, communication with the Innomar Pharmacies on issues that need to be resolved, and assist in the creation (and update of) SOPs and process flows.
    • Assist in launch of new products/programs and collaborate with Programs, Clinics, and Pharmacies on new launches. Communicate new program information and contact lists, process flows, training, and documents and provide feedback on new program launches.
    • Provide typed documentation of all communications relevant to strategies, initiatives, and projects to all departments involved.
    • Ensure necessary training distributed to Innomar Pharmacies is completed. Assist training department with names of employees who will require training and certifications (e.g., CAPHO).
    • Assist in maintaining pharmacy software to ensure standardization across the organization.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required;
  • Post-Secondary Pharmacy Technician Program is preferred;
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience;
  • Experience with pharmacy adjudication is an asset;
  • Experience in calculating benefit usage balances, co-pays, days of supply, and other health insurance mathematical calculations;
  • Experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Extensive experience with Pharmacy Systems;
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy;
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations;
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Excellent time management skills; and
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills;
  • Ability to effectively cross-functionally collaborate amongst various business units;
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently; and
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs.
  • As part of your job duties, you may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
