PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES):

To assist Customer Service & Operations departments in gathering Operational information relating to transit time performance, flight routing and customs regulations. (asistir a los departamentos de Servicio al Cliente y Operaciones con la información operativa relacionada a desempeño en tiempos de tránsito, rutas de vuelo y regulaciones aduanales).

To ensure quality of service, by constant supervision of staff, regular checking of system and identification of problems that need to be action. (asegurar la calidad en el servicio por medio de constante supervisión al equipo, revisión regular del sistema e identificación de problemas que requieran su intervención)

To ensure compliance with prescribed quality standards and issues as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GxP compliance program. (garantizar el cumplimiento con los estándares operativos establecidos y resolución de problemas de acuerdo a la norma ISO 9001, ISO 14001 y el programa de cumplimiento de buenas prácticas)

Proactively and consistently monitor jobs through World-STAR to ensure trouble-free delivery. (proactiva y constantemente monitorear las órdenes en el sistema World-STAR para garantizar entregas sin problemas)

Ongoing intervention and negotiation with airlines endorsed agents to ensure optimal service. (intervenir y negociar constantemente con aerolíneas o agentes autorizados para garantizar los niveles óptimos de servicio)

To oversee and ensure the smooth passage of shipments through customs. (supervisar el paso de los embarques por aduana)

To manage/monitor the operations of the local office and its subcontractors, agents and team members. (administrar y monitorear las operaciones de la oficina local, sus subcontratistas, agentes y miembros del equipo)

To identify problem areas/issues and resolve in a timely and effective manner. (identificar problemas o dificultades del área y darles resolución de manera oportuna y efectiva)

To ensure cross training and periodic role-rotation of staff. (asegurar la rotación periódica del equipo para los procesos de capacitación cruzada)

To develop, implement, and update SOPs. (desarrollar, implementar y actualizar POEs [Procesos Operativos Estandar])

To manage clearing house system to ensure accuracy of internal charges between World Courier offices together with the FIN department. (administrar el sistema local para garantizar la precisión de los cobros internos entre oficinas de World Courier junto con el departamento de Finanzas)

To set and measure operations performance of the local office as well as domestic agents. (establecer indicadores para medir el desempeño operativo de la oficina local así como de los agentes domésticos)

To monitor and review Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs"). (monitorear y revisar los Indicadores Clave de Desempeño)

To monitor and review Incident Reports. (monitorear y revisar Reportes de Incidentes)

To manage CAPA reports by controlling, supervising and acting as the trigger responsible person to make use of this tool. (administrar los reportes ACAP [Acciones correctivas, Acciones preventivas], controlando, supervisando y actuando como la persona responsable de esta herramienta)

To maintain Local TRC (Training Resource Center) up-to-date. (mantener actualizado el CRC [Centro de Recursos de Capacitación]).

To conduct performance appraisals for all direct reports. (realizar evaluaciones de desempeño a rodos sus reportes directos)

To target, nurture and develop strong performers. (identificar, cultivar y desarrollar talentos clave de alto desempeño)

To manage poor performance by training, supervising, feedback and coaching. (corregir desempeños por debajo de las expectativas por medio de capacitaciones, supervisión, retroalimentación y entrenamiento)

To schedule and conduct team meetings on a regular basis. (agendar y liderar juntas operativas con su equipo regularmente)

To make use of the initiative and the creative impulses of his/her co-workers. (aprovechar las iniciativas e impulsos creativos de sus colegas)

To write qualified evaluations for subordinates. (redactar evaluaciones a sus subordinadas)

To prepare and issue detailed and accurate monthly reports to Operations Manager and/or Country Manager/Director on operations issues and development updates. (preparar y emitir reportes detallados y exactos mensualmente para el Gerente de Operaciones y/o el Gerente del País sobre problemas operativos y actualizaciones)

To support Sales functions by attending meetings with clients and providing operational information as required. (dar soporte al área de ventas participando en reuniones con clientes y proveyendo información operativa según sea requerida).

To carry out special projects as directed by Operations Manager and/or Country Manager/Director. (llevar a cabo proyectos especiales asignados por el Gerente de Operaciones y/o el Gerente del País) To provide support to operational staff, when needed. (proporcionar soporte operativo al equipo cuando sea necesario)

To comply with the adherence to working hours, as well as to safety, accident-prevention and environmental-protection regulations. (cumplir con los horarios establecidos de trabajo asó como con las normas de seguridad, prevención de accidentes y regulaciones de protección ambiental)

To coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects. (coordinar e implementar soluciones de procesos y proyectos generales de otros departamentos)

To train staff to deliver high operational quality. (capacitar al equipo para entregar una alta calidad operativa)

To coach and provide career development advise to subordinates. (entrenar y aconsejar al personal a su cargo en temas relacionados a desarrollo de carrera) To assist subordinates to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems. (brindar soporte al personal a su cargo para resolver problemas complejos o situaciones no contempladas en las políticas o procesos operativos)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (EXPERIENCIA Y REQUISITOS ACADEMICOS):

Degree in International Relations, Transportation or related fields. (Título en Relaciones Internacionales, Transportación o campos relacionados)

3 to 5 years of proven experience in Operations department and/or Operations management. (de 3 a 5 años de experiencia comprobable en departamentos de operaciones y/o administración de operaciones)

Excellent interpersonal relationships. (Excelentes relaciones interpersonales)

Be able to take initiatives and responsibilities. (Capacidad de tomar la iniciativa y responsabilidades)

Computer skills. (Habilidades computacionales)
