Cencora is looking for a talented and ambitious people leader to join our Privacy Centre of Excellence (CoE). The Privacy CoE oversees the Privacy Governance Framework through Privacy by Design, conducts risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks, ensures timely completion of Data Subject Assessment Requests, and supports a range of other critical Privacy tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads the team of Privacy Operations Analysts and manages the team performance, development, budget, other managerial tasks and drives Cencora culture Supports the implementation of the global Privacy Governance Framework Conducts risk assessments, identifies controls or mitigations and works with stakeholders to embed across the enterprise Delivers Data Subject Access Requests in a timely and accurate manner Delivers Written Standards, training and controls to embed the Privacy Governance Framework Monitors and oversees the implementation of the Privacy Governance Framework. Uses data to understand the effectiveness, identify pain points and drive action. Mentors' analysts to complete more complex tasks and supports their ongoing development Provides SME support to stakeholders Works as part of the Global Privacy Operations Team and collaborates effectively with Privacy Legal and the Office of Compliance Performs related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normally requires a minimum of 8 years directly related and progressively responsible experience with 5+ years experience working on GDPR, US Privacy regulations and other applicable regulations
  • Previous people leadership experience preferred
  • Requires broad training in a related field of study generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of work experience. Keeps up to date with the latest Data Privacy, Digital and AI regulations and the potential impacts on the company
  • CIPP qualification or equivalent
  • One Trust Foundational or Expert Certification
  • Track record of working in global Privacy programmes including working knowledge of Privacy Assessment and Data Subject Access Management processes
  • Advocates and internally promotes the Privacy Centre of Excellence

Liam Dagless, Snr Director- Office of Privacy

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication and influencing skills to work with a broad range of business stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated consultative skills and ability to effectively facilitate groups to consensus; ability to create trust and confidence quickly. Ability to assess risks and complex problems, as well as formulate resolution approaches and mitigation action plans Experience in developing processes, process ownership, and driving change. Demonstrated ability to manage through conflicting priorities and resource allocation decisions and bring teams to consensus. Fosters a positive & enjoyable work environment, with the ability to lead through change, build teams, and motivate staff. Demonstrated ability to articulate privacy concepts to a variety of audiences, educate stakeholders on privacy practices, and report on privacy matters to management. Proactive self-starter Strong organizational skills; attention to detail. Good at working in a matrix and managing ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment Fosters a collaborative environment in working across various departments and functional teams. Focus on customers and patients. Ability to put the customer and patient at the heart of what we do Prior experience in planning, developing, implementing, and measuring corporate-wide privacy or regulatory controls. Advanced skills with Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project preferred.

What your background should look like

  • Cybersecurity & Privacy professional
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field of study
  • 8-10 years of diverse experience in Privacy & Regulatory compliance, Risk and Information Security
  • Possible certifications - FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM, OneTrust, and BigID (preferred)
  • Ability to assess risks and complex problems, as well as formulate resolution approaches and mitigation action plans
  • Skilled in managing privacy and regulatory posture for business units and acquisitions.
  • Detail oriented mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Managerial experience to drive strategic, transformational, and complex projects and programs to completion.
  • Prior experience in planning, developing, implementing, and measuring corporate-wide privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory controls.
  • Assumes prior experience in handling day-to-day privacy operations including DPIAs and subsequent supporting processes.
