Compensation Analyst- 18 Month Contract

What you will be doing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the entire salary survey participation process, in order to obtain current data for market benchmarking to ensure the Company's competitiveness in the marketplace; compiles, analyzes and evaluates survey data; maintains compensation survey sources in CompAnalyst
  • Evaluates new positions using established job evaluation system and determines grade assignment
  • Works closely with business units to ensure compensation decisions are in alignment with Company's overall compensation philosophy
  • Coordinates the schedule for the merit increase cycles and validates information containing merit increase recommendations
  • Generates summary reports at the end of each merit increase cycle for management review; generates analytics for use by regional, functional, and business unit management to assist with compensation management decisions
  • Partners with HR Community and delivers Compensation 101 presentations to Corporate and Business Unit supervisor / management level associates
  • Assists in the processing of Company's incentive programs by ensuring that associates are paid accurately and according to a schedule based on a number of performance measures; includes generating and reviewing reports and researching discrepancies
  • Works closely with the Payroll department to coordinate compensation-related activities requiring payroll processing support; supports all compliance initiatives
  • Creates new job codes and titles for newly-created positions; maintains title integrity for Company approved positions
  • Loads newly-created and/or updated job descriptions into job description repository, including compensation level and grade information. Reviews and escalates all pay rate changes that are outside of policy for appropriate approvals
  • Coordinates the annual review of company office location geographic differentials in order to ensure competitive pay practices in local labor markets
  • Routinely audits compensation data in the HRIS system such as job codes, compensation levels and grades, bonus plans and targets
  • Performs other compensation-related duties as assigned

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program. Requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Compensation Analyst. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred; however, if designation has not been completed, Cencora will incur expenses for certification program.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
