What you will be doing

Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for providing support for various products and solutions. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will aid solution owners and consultants/coaches by utilizing existing BI tools and developing new ones. This role will function as the BI analytic tool expert providing on-demand reporting and training to other users. This job position is compliance critical and responsibilities include ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate, and government regulatory requirements. It is the associate's responsibility to observe all safety rules. Any condition thought to be hazardous or unsafe should be reported to your supervisor immediately.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the key resource for interpreting data and information; communicates results to team members
  • Works closely with analytics project managers and operations to coordinate cross-functional project activities and ensures deliverables are accurate and meet customer requirements
  • Utilizes solution specific tools across all departments and functional areas providing detailed reporting and analysis
  • Assesses analytics and reporting needs; provides recommendations for enhanced solutions and specifications for business intelligence tools
  • Manages the delivery of tools and reports to internal and external customers
  • Ensures reporting needs across process areas are prioritized to support deployment strategies and business needs
  • Establish protocols to extract data in a standardized process from a variety of data sources
  • Define and develop data management standards and processes to effectively manage data through the reporting life cycle
  • Performs data mining of customers
  • Design and develop prototypes and models for database, data integrations and data transformation needs
  • Maintains and develops strong working relationships with business owners as a process advocate
  • Creates speech and presentation materials for members of the management team
  • Keeps abreast of healthcare trends and competitor activity

What your background should look like

  • Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer science generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program
  • Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years direct progressively responsible experience with strong analytics and reporting experience
  • Ability to effectively manage and participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data in general and reimbursement data
  • Strong business planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and identify and apply appropriate solutions
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with advanced proficiency in Excel and Access
  • Experience with SQL and VBA with an understanding of data modeling and data management
  • Willing to work extended hours as required

$70,400 - 100,760

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
