Job Summary
As a Fortinet Enterprise Architect at CDW, you'll apply your technology vision and consulting experience to drive the successful strategic planning and completion of complex, cutting-edge customer projects. You'll serve as a thought leader on our Network Security team, developing and delivering relevant services with a focus on Fortinet Security solutions, assisting Sales & Pre-Sales in winning complex solutions, and supporting R&D to scale solutions. You'll also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with our vendors and PPM, further contributing to our goal of delighting customers and establishing ourselves as the industry leader in Advanced Technology Solutions.

What you will do:
Project Delivery:

  • Act as lead engineer or advisor on projects, ensuring the successful application of CDW's Professional Services Engagement Methodology.
  • Participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, including product definition, sales discussions, project planning, and technology solution design.
  • Provide comprehensive client consultation, analyzing customer security needs, recommending designs, and implementing secure server and network environments.
  • Test LAN/WAN/WLAN security products, implementing test plans, designing test networks, and aiding in the development of automated test suites.
  • Oversee project implementation, manage billing for projects, and participate in post-project debrief sessions.
  • Regularly interface with technical and business staff of customers, including project sponsors and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements.
  • Serve a leadership role on large scale customer engagements with high levels of risk and complexity.
    Sales and Pre-Sales Support:

  • Assist with scoping and RFP Requests.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, and understanding their unique security requirements.
  • Assist Sales & Pre-Sales in selling and winning complex and custom outcome-based solutions.
    Service Development and Delivery:

  • Deliver relevant services through incubation, VTIs, and custom SOWs, ensuring full outcomes and creating project documentation.

  • Work with vendors and PPM to grow relationships.
  • Develop and document best practice delivery methodology.
  • Contribute to intellectual property development.
  • Lead client calls, effectively communicating findings and addressing client inquiries.
    Team and Practice Development:

  • Provide formal technical mentorship to other consultants through defined training, coaching, and supervision of projects.

  • Conduct or facilitate technical training for team members, ensuring they are trained on the use of tools, templates, tactics, and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of new service offerings and methodologies.

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • 8+ years in large-scale, enterprise-class planning, design, implementation, and support of network security systems with at least 5 years in a strategic consulting role.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience demonstrating success in delivery or pre-sales responsibilities
  • Extensive experience in advisory and consulting roles related to network security, with a focus on the development of strategic security architectures and solutions.
  • Advanced level technical certifications or equivalent.
  • In depth technical expertise designing, implementing, and upgrading the full portfolio of Fortinet solutions including:

  • Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiNAC, FortiSDWAN, FortiClient, FortiConverter, and other related Fortinet technologies including Fortinet SASE.

  • Additional experience required in one or more of the following:

  • Palo Alto Solutions such as: Strata NGFWs, GlobalProtect, Panorama, Expedition migrations, and related Palo Alto technologies

  • Cisco Solutions such as: ISE, ASA, FTD, Duo, AnyConnect, Umbrella, and related Cisco technologies.
  • Experience implementing, migration and upgrading SASE solutions such as Zscaler and Palo Alto Prisma.
  • Experience designing and implementing IDS/IPS solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to communicate effectively using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize tasks, improve organizational effectiveness, proactively collaborate and build relationships, and creatively problem solve.
  • Proven history of coordinating complex projects with multiple facets and stakeholders, demonstrating solid attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability in pre-sales engineering, with experience in conducting technical pre-sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution consultations.
  • Experience assisting sales teams in achieving sales targets, with a strong understanding of client needs and the ability to propose suitable technical solutions.
  • Experience in the development of new service offerings and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to innovate and drive the creation of new solutions based on evolving customer needs and market trends.
  • Experience working with product management and engineering teams to influence product development based on customer feedback and observed market trends.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to other CDW locations and client sites, and to work weekends and/or off-hours as necessary to meet clients' needs.
  • Experience with Azure and AWS Cloud Networking, a plus.
