The Role

As a vital member of our Design & Research Team, you will tackle intricate challenges within the insurtech sector, working on both consumer-facing and B2B products across mobile and desktop platforms. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, UI designers, and fellow UX researchers, while also partnering with our product management and innovation teams. This role involves working on current and future products that incorporate AI and other cutting-edge technologies.

In this senior-level position, you will play a key role in shaping the end-user experience by overseeing a variety of UX research projects. Your findings and insights will be critical in informing decisions for cross-functional teams, ensuring that our products meet user needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple research projects, ensuring timely execution and the delivery of high-quality insights.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with design, product management, and development teams to align UX research activities with broader organizational goals.
  • Platform Proficiency: Utilize various UX research platforms effectively to gather comprehensive user insights.
  • Data Analysis and Synthesis: Analyze and interpret user feedback to produce actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders and product teams.
  • User Advocacy: Champion user needs and promote best research practices within the organization.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to less-experienced team members and to other teams that have no UX research experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in research, demonstrating a successful track record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Education: Degree in a human behavior-related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Applied Anthropology, Market Research, or equivalent work experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to present research findings in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences.
  • Research Methods Expertise: Experienced in conducting In-Depth Interviews, Concept Testing, Usability Testing, Heuristic Evaluations, and others.
  • Tools Proficiency: Skilled in tools such as UserTesting.com, UserZoom, Qualtrics, and SurveyMonkey for efficient data collection and analysis.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Statistical Knowledge: While this role is primarily qualitative, an understanding of statistical methods such as Regressions, ANOVA, and T-Tests is preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in complex industries such as fintech, Insurtech, or healthtech.
  • Advanced Education: A Master's or PhD in a human behavior-related field is a plus.
