About The Role:
As a CBRE Property Tax Director, you will handle the personal property tax compliance services required for clients in their office location or specialty field.
This job is in the Valuation function. They are responsible for inspecting and determining the values of land, property, and businesses.
What You'll Do:
- Create and implement critical initiatives to meet the objectives of the office.
- Responsible for profit and loss and budgeting for the office or specialty.
- Develop and implement practice policies and procedures to increase operational efficiencies.
- Lead a team of consultants to deliver services for assigned clients.
- Lead all aspects of the timely preparation of property tax renditions and filings in accordance with state property tax regulations.
- Work with team members to ensure assets are properly classified and the correct filing methodologies are being utilized.
- Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating direct reports in the office/specialty.
- Oversee and lead a local office/specialty and depending on the size could be between 2-10 people.
- Ensure all property tax appeals are prosecuted timely and effectively, completed accurately and completely, and are done well and within the laws of the state.

- Bachelor's degree required in business, accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of property tax advocacy required.
- Supervising / leadership experience preferred.
- Certificate/license as required by state licensing body.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
- In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
