About the Role:

As a CBRE Underwriter for Loan Servicing & Asset Management, you'll be responsible for multifamily mortgage underwriting, financial analysis, risk assessment, compliance, quality control, and preparing written presentations analyzing underwriting and credit risks in multifamily loan transactions.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare underwriting credit analysis including determination of net worth, liquidity, overall financial strength, experience, acceptability of applicant structure, processing incoming information and preparing final delivery of lender presentation.
  • Property and market level due diligence, reviewing third party reports, legal documents, and information specific to the transaction to ensure compliance with lender credit and operational requirements.
  • Review, amend, and/or prepare narrative and underwriting packages related to transfer events involving existing multifamily loans.
  • Serve as liaison between parties (loan producer, lender, legal counsel, third party vendors, borrower, proposed borrower, etc.) throughout assigned transactions. Take part in conference calls with lenders, special servicers, or master servicers, updating them on loan issues.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide solutions.
  • Coach others and share knowledge of job field within the function.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams
  • Work within guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information and other specific investor requests.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new point of view on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive approach.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
