About the Role:

As a CBRE Sr Finance Manager, you will significantly contribute to the achievement of the Division's growth plan through the setting and delivery of key initiatives, active leadership of people and processes, a high level of customer interaction and engagement and governance of the Company's financial reporting and compliance requirements. You will work closely with the Divisional Leadership Team to identify, analyze and implement opportunities to enhance business performance and partner with the leadership team to add value to the overall company business plan.

• Delivery of complex business solutions in support of internal managerial insights and outcomes.

• Drive new business insights, provide oversight of technical delivery teams.

• Influence key stakeholders across geographies to ensure that we are driving profitable outcomes for global leadership.

• Drive new and creative ways of providing forward-looking insights in reporting by leveraging CBRE's D&T AI and Machine Learning modeling and resources.

Leadership

• Build and develop high level relationships with cross-functional teams, segment leaders, and internal stakeholders.

• Positively respond to internal customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accountability/credibility.

• Ensure business issues and solutions are identified promptly, communicated to the appropriate level and resolution monitored via business review process.

• Constantly seek to improve quality, service and efficiency. Contribute to the evaluation and development of Global Target Operating Model.

• Communicate regularly with internal customers and support staff to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives and achievements.

• Maximize business performance based on understanding of technical requirements and changes; ensuring continuous improvement.

• Ensure use of best practice, communication and understanding of key technical deliveries and outcome.

• Identify, analyze and resolve potential business risks as well as opportunities and solutions to enhance business performance.

Finance Processes

• Have thorough knowledge of procedures and processes and lead the delivery of these to the required standard.

• Lead and deliver people, financial, operations and technical reporting, including monthly reporting, plans and forecasts.

• Review and challenge that the business to seek optimal solution without compromising clarity into reporting results and management outcomes.

• Develop and deliver processes, systems and infrastructure to support growth and expansion.

• Manage compliance through the required procedures and processes.

Financial Governance

• Ensure finance reports are in line with the monthly company timetable including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and reconciliation reporting.

• Ensure CBRE and statutory obligations are met for reporting & governance purposes and adhered to consistently through Segments/Regions.

• Partial owner in CBRE's technical data integrity, governance, and controls.

• Develop targets and benchmarking processes to challenge the financial information provided.

• Provide information and partner with business leaders to help resolve data issues raised from internal reporting.

People Management

• Build, lead and motivate a diverse and effective team. Empower team members to take responsibility and accountability.

• Convey messages and ideas clearly and openly. Involve people and influence decisions.

• Lead structured performance management, personal development, talent and succession activities to ensure that there is a robust pipeline of talent available.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise systems and SQL environments. Examples include Oracle, TM1, Azure, Hyperion, SAP, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Power BI, Excel, Outlook, etc. Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
