About the role
The purpose of this position is to provide expertise for the Commute and Transportation Program of a large portfolio as well as managing the daily transportation operations at our Silicon Valley Campus.
Working under general direction, this position runs and leads most aspects of budgeting, process improvement, controls for niche software and other functions enabling the business unit to meet objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
This position is hybrid and requires onsite support in Mountain View, CA.
What you'll do
Promote and encourage the reduction of single occupancy vehicles (SOV) to include public or employee transit, carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, and other transportation options; Establish operating and administrative policies and procedures for all transportation activities.

Implement, track, and manage transportation benefit programs including signing employees up for transportation benefits, tracking utilization and developing recommendations for improvements. Owns and validates the creation, distribution and reporting of a yearly commute survey.
Develops commute strategies in conjunction with site/services leadership. Serves as the primary client contact and critical issue point for any commute related staffing, bandwidth, or delivery issues. Lead all aspects of a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs.
Manage staff assigned to transportation services, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff to perform other duties as back-up, and evaluating and developing performance; works on transportation demand management policy issues; parking management, transportation fairs, employee outreach activities, and commute incentives. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop proficiencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
What you'll need
- Strong background in TDM (Transportation Demand Management); solid track record in commute management, tools, and techniques; and experience with/understanding of local transportation laws and regulations is strongly desired.
- High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of experience in commute & transportation services required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to influence and negotiate optimally with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles using distinctive style.
- Process development/process improvement, decision-making and problem-solving skills are vital.
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Transportation Management or Urban Planning Preferred.
- Sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Ability to forecast, prepare budgets, and conduct financial analysis.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $130,000 annually.The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program
