About the role

Perform preventive maintenance, service, calibration, set up and repairs on process instruments and related systems associated with GMP/GLP process related equipment. To maintain electrical equipment for a safe and productive work environment. To ensure appropriate electrical services are available for long-term research studies, lab facilities, and pilot plant.

A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, asset utilization, and helping our customers improve scientific innovation.

Position may require travel out of state when needed to support other sites: CA, NC, ME

What you'll do

  • Provide preventive maintenance, calibration, repairs and solving service for all of the process related instrumentation equipment in building.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers and lab Chemists to differentiate between equipment and method problems.
  • Work is performed on all types of systems: Pressure and Temperature Transmitters/controllers, Agitator RPM controllers, Analysis Transmitters i.e. pH and DO2 Transmitters, Delta V Foundation Field bus, Device Net, PLC controlled devices and all related data and communication equipment.

What you'll need

  • Perform fixing on loops and calibration of sensors, transmitters, controllers and actuators including repairs on control modules, component and mechanical part replacements.
  • Ability to read and understand related electrical and electronic wiring schematics and laboratory equipment piping flow diagrams. Understand sophisticated technical equipment, fixing documents and determine the appropriate usage and operate all client standards test equipment including but not limited to Fluke temperature and volt ohm meters, Calibrators, Signal Generators and Oscilloscopes.
  • Must have a good understanding with the Installation/ Qualification and Validation processes and demonstrate good documentation skills and practices.
  • Maintain and repair electronic controls on sophisticated systems such as HVAC equipment, variable speed controllers, lighting, process systems, etc.
  • Minimum (2) year Associate Degree in Electronics or Equivalent (2-5) Years Field Electronic equipment experience in the calibration, repair and service directly related to or on process instrumentation or a four-year apprenticeship in the electrical trade.
