About the Role:

As a CBRE Senior HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.

Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, service, set up and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems associated with GMP/GLP processes. To maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment for a safe and productive work environment.

Position may require travel out state when needed to support additional sites: CA, NC, ME

What You'll Do:

  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience working with VAV/CAV supply and exhaust systems. Be able to work comfortably alone around high and low pressure steam, Chilled Water, Glycol, Pneumatics and Electricity.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure accurate operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Solve equipment failures and determine the best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and mentorship.

What You'll Need:

  • Formal HVAC Training program or completion of apprenticeship program. 3-5 years of commercial experience.
  • Must carry a Universal Refrigerant recovery card, and the skills to operate the equipment. Backflow Preventer a plus.
  • Must read blueprints and have knowledge of all state and local codes.
  • Must have Technical Skills in pipefitting, brazing, soldering and pipe threading. Strong troubleshooting skills in controls, Johnson Controls Metasys System is a plus.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
