About The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Controller with experience in financial reporting for the hospitality industry for CBRE's Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions division, an exciting and growing environment. Contributors in this role lead a team to produce financial data for analytics, generally seen in hospitality industry.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual workpapers, and financial statements.
  • Assist with review of operating budgets and re-forecasts.
  • Supervise team performing daily accounting, including account reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and other related items.
  • Support staff in areas of training, development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Provide strategic support, analysis, and ad hoc reports to client when required.
  • Support client on audits related to state or local tax returns.
  • Act as a liaison and build a positive client experience by opening and maintaining constructive and reliable lines of communication with client's operations, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Meet with client regularly, both in group meetings and individually, to discuss financial performance and to set and monitor achievement status of organizational goals.

What You'll Need:

To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 10+ years of accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of inventory and cost of goods sold accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operating procedures and experience in fast paced, high-volume environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Strong skills in computer, ERP, and other ancillary systems generally used in hospitality.
  • Sophisticated technical financial skills and extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting and FASB standards.

New York Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $175,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
