About the role

The Senior Analyst will work as a member of the America's Regional Investment Team working collaboratively on the execution of investments within the Region. The role is to support the Investment Management function on the due diligence of transactions; preparation of investment recommendations, asset management of investments; and provide input for client reporting.

What you'll do

  • Provides initial investment review for new investment opportunities in a variety of fund, joint venture, programmatic and single asset structures across all sectors. Responsible for initial financial analysis and written investment summaries.
  • Performs due diligence of investment opportunities including financial analysis, market analysis, property analysis and ESG initiatives. Collaborates with other functions within the business such as Insights, Tax, Legal, Insights to capture the required information to support the review.
  • Builds new deal materials required by the investment process including preliminary investment recommendations, Investment Committee Recommendations and Post-Investment Committee Due Diligence Report. Focus on strong written communication summarizing due diligence findings and analysis.
  • Supports presentation of investment opportunities to the Global Investment Team and Investment Committee.
  • Responsible for Asset Management of investments including reviewing quarterly investment reports and validating quarterly investment data, reviewing investment performance along with key drivers of performance and variations from pro forma underwriting, and working in close contact with operating partners to ensure a strong understanding of current investment dynamics.
  • Responsible for the production of Asset Management Reports including Investment Oversight Committee materials including semi-annual performance reforecasts and annual investment review notes including hold/sell analysis. Responsible for aspects of business plan updates and strategy reviews for programmatic ventures.
  • Works with the Global Portfolio Management team providing key investment updates, assisting in quarterly reporting and response to ad hoc investment queries and ensuring up-to-date client requirements. Assists in the presentation of opportunities to the Indirect Global Investment Team and Investment Committee.
  • Supports the creation of top-down strategy and sector reviews including capital markets and investment fundamentals analysis.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant proven experience that has been acquired in a real estate investment or real estate investment management environment.
  • BS/BA required, preferably with accounting, economics, finance, and/or real estate studies.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met:
  • Accurate under time pressure and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team with good interpersonal skills.
  • Understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion.
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness/ability to travel.
  • Experience and understanding of a broad range of real estate sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial modelling skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Argus Enterprise exposure preferred).

CBRE Investment Management carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE IM's applicable benefit program.
