About the Role:
As a Sector Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the department provides quality service and meets budgetary controls with maximum profitability.
This job is part of the Operations Management job function. They are responsible for coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization's goals and strategies.
What You'll Do:
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Evaluate overall operations regularly and report findings to the Executive Team. This includes progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations.
- Direct and manage project coordination from beginning to end. Ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of the team are well-defined and understood.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Negotiate resources for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Review the scope, budget, and entire project schedule to ensure it remains within the required constraints.
- Create strategic plans with policies for establishing efficient project completion. Develop best practices and tools for execution and the management of projects.
- Identify the requirements of the project based on the scope and where outsourcing. Resolve issues and conflicts within the project teams.
- Develops full-scale communication plans and associated communication documents regarding the project.
- Act as the Corporate Safety Director as it relates to job-specific safety plan requirements and training.
- Apply mastery knowledge of function or major operational segment as well as business and commercial expertise to differentiate the company from the competition and drive performance.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Shape the opinions and negotiate with senior management and others. Build partnerships with external organizations of common interests while being guided by the organization's functional strategy.
- Evaluate key business challenges across functions and organizations. Direct the development of new or innovative solutions across job disciplines and/or functions.
- Contribute to defining the direction for products, processes, standards, or business plans based on business strategy.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 15+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Motivation to impact results of a business unit, major operational segment, or enterprise-wide organization sub-function.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Meticulous organizational skills with a masterful inquisitive mindset.
