About The Role:

Directs and provides overall strategic management of a global risk management team for a department or line of business. Responsible for the overall risk and compliance Controls reviews/audits, policies and procedures, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans. Develops, implements, and enforces department and/or line of business compliance globally, ensuring quality while mitigating risk to our clients and the Company. Manages the relationship with our external auditors globally.

This Job is a part of the Legal Compliance job function. They are responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance that balances business and compliance solutions to inform the company of options and risks.

What You'll Do:

  • Implementation and oversight of risk assessment/management across segments, markets and lines of business. Ensures that the plans are comprehensive, cohesive, and effective globally.
  • Scopes, interprets, drives and develops functional policy, procedure, and processes for a department globally in partnership with business leaders.
  • Responsible for ensuring observations/issues are communicated, remediated and reevaluated.
  • Oversees and approves global department compliance communication related to policy/procedure changes and the Business Continuity Plan.
  • Ensures systems and processes comply with acceptable department practices and applicable external regulations globally.
  • Oversees and manages coordination across lines of business globally and handles the relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educates and informs department and line of business leaders about risk and building and effective operational risk management. Champions global and line of business initiatives
  • Partners with internal and external auditors when necessary
  • Solicits, evaluates, and provides input and recommendation on potential risks and processes that affect regulatory compliance and Business Continuity Plan.
  • Establishes global strategic objectives and goals for department and staff and monitors and reports on accomplishments.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to all levels of management including the Executive Risk Council and Leadership Conferences, including Segment/Market Leaders and Strategic Account Leaders.
  • Serve as authoritative resource and participates in Compliance consulting engagements upon request.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, JD, or any related Field
  • A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in risk, controls, compliance, audits and reporting.
  • Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure with a proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management, and/or public groups.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
