About the role
As a CBRE Quality and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and continuous improvement of the compliance program within Northwestern Medicine.
What you'll do
- Act as the Facilities Team representative for the hospital Environment of Care (EOC) program. Oversight of rounding, annual reviews of fire/life safety programs and utility management plans. Conduct annual focus standard assessments (FCAs).
- Manage fire & life safety deliverables including fire drills, fire alarm testing and routine inspections. Ensure continuous compliance with NFPA and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
- Maintain and implement a plan for survey readiness, in line with TJC, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Illinois Dept. of Public Health timelines. Act as Facilities Team representative during all surveys. Lead hospital campus preparations and documentation reviews for EOC and life safety standards. Take ownership of follow-up actions.
- Act as Facilities Team liaison for the hospital Infection Prevention (IP) team, leading response and action to IP requests.
- Lead the domestic water management program for the hospital campus. Manage key industry vendors, lead Facilities Team response to pathogen cases, keep site water management plan(s) up-to-date in line with site requirements and legislation. Facilitate routine water program meetings with key partners.
- Act as Facilities Team point of contact for surveys with hospital's insurers.
- Participate in Emergency Management activities including committee meetings, incident responses and drills/exercises. Act as Facilities Team lead for annual HVA and 96Hr Sustainability exercises.
- Assist with the development, and roll out functional policies, procedures, and processes. Confirm all follow acceptable practices and relevant external regulations. Be guided by policies and department plans.
- Identify and recommend training based on business needs and company initiatives. Conduct live trainings to broad audiences and create communications that integrate media resources and leverages existing procedure.
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

What you'll need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Relevant experience in a Quality and Compliance Leadership role, with preference for experience in a private healthcare environment
Familiarity with relevant industry legislation, building code regulations, and guidelines
Ability to demonstrate essential leadership skills including communication, decision-making, problem-solving and the ability to inspire and motivate others
Ability to create, deliver and present professional reports based on large data sets
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.
