About the role

As a CBRE Quality and Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding and participating in continuous improvement objectives.

This job is part of the Contract Quality Management job function. They are responsible for managing the delivery of contractual services to ensure requirements are fulfilled.

What you'll do

• Oversee small to medium-sized compliance programs for both company and client, including but not limited to document control & records management, change & deviation management, third-party vendor management, inspection readiness, and facilities, utilities, & equipment installation and qualifications.

  • Interface, partner, and interact with both internal and external client's functional areas and leadership teams.
  • Communicate quality and compliance initiatives and issues across the functional areas
  • Manage third-party vendors including qualifying, onboarding, escorting, inspecting, and periodic performance tracking & trending.
  • Report Compliance status to internal and external clients during review meetings. Call out and notify the company and client management of quality and compliance issues.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
  • Works under limited supervision. Requires no instruction on routine work. Receives only general instruction on new assignments. Uses experience and judgment to determine methods and procedures for completing new assignments
  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project team. Leads project teams and/or plans, and supervises assignments of lower level employees. May have responsibility for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating a work unit and/or group.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science related field required, such as, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering. Or a Bachelor's Degree in a science related field such as, Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology, with specializations in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering.
  • Master's Degree in a science related field is desired, such as, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering. Or a Master's Degree in a science related field such as, Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology, with specializations in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering.
  • Previous experience is required (2-4yrs) within a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or heavy industries such as oil & gas, automotive, or aircraft manufacturing.
  • Desired experience of (4-6yrs) in pharmaceutical manufacturing with emphasis on facilities, utilities, and equipment qualifications, reliability, and preventative & corrective maintenance.
  • Certifications desired in Green or Black Belt Six Sigma Certification Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with change management within a regulated industry.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills along with experience with root cause analysis and deviation management.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Experience with equipment automation and computer systems validation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
