JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide supervision of the Capital Project Coordinators supporting project delivery at a major pharmaceutical company. The primary responsibility of the Project Coordinator work group is to issue, monitor, and control CBRE and client specific work permits which ensure daily work initiatives will be delivered in a manner compliant with all local policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the performance, development, and retention of all Capital Project Coordinators within your assigned work group.
- Develop and continuously improve project assignment methodologies that result in increased efficiencies for your assigned work group.

- Work with Project Management, Facilities Management, and HSE personnel to ensure delivery of project requirements while also ensuring a healthy work / life balance for your assigned work group.
- Supplement Project Coordinator staff by maintaining the ability to carry out their work functions in the event of absences, increased workload that exceeds current capacity of work group, or a combination of both.
- Promote and maintain an environment consistent with CBRE values including Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
- Responsible for ensuring your assigned work group works closely with both CBRE Project Managers and client stakeholders to deliver a project portfolio that consistently meets established key performance indicators for the client account, while following both CBRE and client policies and procedures.
- Regularly provide informal updates and formal reports to the Director of Project Management as it relates to hours worked, number of permits issued, and safety events within your assigned work group.
- Consistently balance the needs of the customer, employee, and shareholder while meeting organizational objectives.
- Consistently embrace and promote a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Recruitment of Project Coordinators to successfully meet the requirements of your assigned work group.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a succession plan for the Project Coordinator Lead position.
- Ensure direct, indirect, and / or outsourced service providers and vendors provide consistent, high-quality services.
- Ensure assigned work group fosters healthy relationships with external consultants and vendors while holding them accountable in delivering their scope of work in a timely and consistent fashion.
- Support CBRE initiatives by participating on steering committees as required. Additionally, ensure smooth transition of initiatives into your assigned work group.
- Possess ability to create effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and senior leadership.
- Possess ability to solve advanced problems resulting from complex situations.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and workflow required.
- Previous experience in a leadership role considered a plus, although not required.
