About the role

The Moves Manager oversees all occupancy, space management, and move and change activity. Also assures services are delivered efficiently and effectively on behalf of our financial services client headquartered in Boston, MA.

This job is part of the Moves, Additions and Changes function and responsible for building space design, construction, and moving services. The roles offers a 4/1 hybrid schedule and must be local to the Boston, MA market.

What you'll do

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Liaise closely with internal and external teams to ensure that effective communication is maintained between all parties involved in moves and changes.

Respond to customer requests for relocations and changes at short notice, optimize space occupancy, and utilization of buildings.

Assist with estimates and scheduling of work. Audit the relocation work out-of-hours to ensure the smooth running of moves for occupation by the client.

Coordinate schedules and budgets for all relocation projects. Provide regular reports on progress and raise issues as required. Achieve or exceed target standards for agreed critical metrics.

Direct company processes, including client meetings, finances, health and safety, and programming of support contractor activities.

Ensure all documents, drawings, and standards are subject to regulatory scrutiny.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

Apply knowledge of own field and how own subject area integrates with team members to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance obstacles.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job subject area and department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). JDE purchase order experience is beneficial.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Moves Manager position is $92,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Moves Manager position is $117,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
