About the role

As a CBRE Material Handler, you'll provide service and support to the warehouse by handling shipping and receiving tasks.

This job supports the Supply Chain function. They are responsible for improving the efficiency of the organization's supply chain.

This is a 3rd shift with overnight hours which are 5:45pm to 6am Monday through Thursday with a rotation of working Friday through Sunday every other week for both shifts (2,2,3 shift rotation).

What you'll do

  • Assist with loading and unloading merchandise or material from cars or trucks.
  • Will operate manual and motorized ride on pallet jack.
  • Help pack and unpack shipments. This includes processing, scanning, and shelving parts, pulling orders, and entering data into the inventory control systems.
  • Operating forklift for loading and unloading trucks.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environments. Sweep and mop floors.
  • Maintain upkeep of stockroom and other storage areas and merge existing stock to improve space usage.
  • Perform labeling of materials under required procedures.
  • Audit warehouse inventory reports using physical checks to ensure accurate system accounting.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and mentorship.

What you'll need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience or GED or equivalent experience with up to 2 years of job-related experience. Should hold forklifting experience and will certify while on the job.
  • Experience with warehouse with GMP Materials & Pharmaceutical environment is a plus but not required.
  • Forklift experience is required; candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
  • Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
