About the Role:
As a Marketing Manager at CBRE in Washington D.C., you'll lead a team in the real estate sector. You'll coordinate marketing campaigns for our products, ensuring our brand stays ahead.
What You'll Do:
Develops and implements marketing and community relations programs for Retail Real Estate Management Team in Washington DC. Emphasizes events to improve asset performance, grow traffic, sales, and net operating income.
- Works with the Retail Manager, leasing teams, Residential team and Client to devise marketing plans and strategies that support the property's revenue and leasing objectives. Additionally, provides budget recommendations for marketing initiatives.
- Researches and analyzes market position. Interprets census data, media rankings, website data, survey results and all other forms of marketing related information.
- Works with clients to develop marketing concepts and design marketing materials. Provides cost estimates for clients by researching costs and negotiating with vendors.
- Manages relationship with contracted marketing and media vendors. Conducts bidding process, negotiates prices and selects vendors for needed services.
- Serves as local office contact for advertising and promotion. Issues press releases, feature stories and by-line articles to the media.
- Coordinates and manages promotional events, corporate sponsorships, and other marketing activities to actively increase monthly traffic. Events are a major focus, and the Marketing Manager and their staff will be present to oversee all aspects, including interaction with Security, Janitorial, and Engineering.
- Coordinates the development, production and distribution of print/web collateral materials.
- Provides technical assistance to other staff members in use of marketing software applications to prepare marketing and promotional materials.
- Effectively communicates with staff, tenants, the public, corporate management and ownership. Keeps collaborators updated on marketing activities and results through periodic reports, financial statements, newsletters, and ongoing correspondence.
- Reviews materials to ensure compliance with company standards for use of logo, branding and other print media requirements.
- Supports tenant retention through the development of tenant merchandizing and promotional initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop skills. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on general topics to clients, employees, tenants and public groups.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Prepares and manages project budgets.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with desktop, graphics, and presentation software and technology.
- Decisions made with detailed understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year program, in Sales or Marketing is preferred, with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is required.
- Demonstrated experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complex information, convey performance expectations, and address problems effectively.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate a team and drive outstanding results.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven, inquisitive approach.
- Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial figures.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Marketing Manager position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Marketing Manager position is $110,000 annually and the compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
