Maintenance Mechanic (Conveyor) - Talent Community

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform general preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs of all conveyors, equipment and building related equipment.

  • Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift.
  • Must be comfortable with extensive everyday travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs maintenance of the Conveyor System; maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment
  • Performing basic diagnostic tests, checking performance, and testing damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary;
  • Responsible for cleaning and lubricating machinery
  • Adjusts/calibrates or repairs conveyor system controls
  • Perform basic splices, belt cleaning and pulley lagging
  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing)

  • Conveyor and Overhead door maintenance
  • Focus heavily on Mechanical and includes some Electrical and HVAC
  • General Facilities and Engineering maintenance

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of four years of related experience (building/engineering operations) and/or trade school training.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
