About The Role:

Assists in the closing of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD/FHA multifamily loans, commonly referred to as "GSE's". The Senior Closing Analyst will assist the Loan Closer with the decision-making process in determining whether due diligence items satisfy the requirements of the lender and the eventual buyer of the loan or security backed by the loan. They will assist in the determination as whether a loan has met all of the conditions required prior to funding, and will be instrumental in insuring that all requirements of loan closing and delivery have been met.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare loan applications, rate/index lock agreements and commitments as appropriate for the GSE
  • Administers the distribution of GSE forms to field offices as needed
  • Updates weekly pricing memos and tracking
  • Tracks loan closings and funding (Administer the CAG pipeline)
  • Tracks loan and commitment due dates
  • Prepare loan for warehouse funding
  • Prepares loan packages for sale of loans in the secondary market
  • Track and complete all pre/post funding issues
  • Request escrow analysis, prepare closing numbers and reconcile all closed loans with Treasury.

What You'll Need:

To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily.   • Basic understanding of the mortgage banking industry, with an emphasis on the loan closing and funding areas.
  • Full understanding of title insurance policies and property surveys.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage and effectively prioritize the workload.
  • Display excellent written, verbal and organization skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and make appropriate decisions.
  • Must understand that a high level of customer service must be maintained, while providing the quality control required for the position
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum four years experience in loan underwriting, loan closing and/or asset management, preferably with a title company, bank or mortgage banker (either commercial or residential). GSE Experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with outside attorneys, borrowers, lenders and other company employees. Ability to write letters and business correspondence.
  • Ability to apply simple concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios. Also possess the ability to prepare simple spreadsheet analyses. Attention to detail is key.
