About the Role:

The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for valuing, inspiring and managing a team of talented Research Chemists to exceed client and company goals. Through effective and consistent leadership, relationship building, development, and coaching.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute coaching plans based on employee need and as directed by upper management.
  • Responsible for recruitment, training, development, and motivating chemists to exceed set performance goals.
  • Ensure your team is meeting all client expectations in all areas of performance, quality, and compliance.
  • Present solutions-oriented options in response to challenges in support of client mission to deliver medicine to patients.
  • Proactively implements service modifications in response to customer and business needs.
  • Expertly balance customer requirements against business constraints.
  • Create and maintain a motivating and positive working environment.
  • Conducts performance reviews; develops growth plans; interprets, implements, and supports employee-related policies, procedures, and programs. and disciplinary actions.
  • Continue to find ways to improve the overall delivery of world class service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field (Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry).
  • Previous supervision experience.
  • Proven strong customer service skills. Demonstrates understanding and continuous assessment of customer needs.
  • Ability to document work clearly and accurately and be detail oriented.
  • Must have advance computer skills and familiar with Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivated and hard working.
  • Familiarity with general laboratory practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to speak to both technical and business-related implications of your work.
  • Must be able to work in the laboratory with exposure to common laboratory chemicals.
  • 4 - 6 years working in pharmaceutical regulated (cGLP or cGMP) space experience.
  • Highly collaborative as well as independent
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative and leadership capabilities.
