About the Role:

As a CBRE Landscape Manager, you will be responsible for managing landscape and irrigation contractors as well as overseeing and grounds staff, vendors, and contractors. They are responsible for the delivery of gardening and landscaping services to the organization or client.

What You'll Do:

  • Manages landscape and grounds contractors to deliver expected service levels to the client within the prescribed budget.
  • Coordinates work assignments among landscape and grounds staff, vendors, and contractors. Reviews backlogged work orders to ensure that assignments are completed.
  • Reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients. Responds to problems in a tactful and expedient manner. Attends client meetings for landscape and grounds matters.
  • Inspects property landscape and grounds and generates inspection reports. Ensures needed corrective maintenance is documented and scheduled for repair as appropriate.
  • Manages the maintenance and repair of landscape and snow removal. Includes landscape mechanic, vendors and contractors.
  • Manages a snow removal program to include the storage of bulk road salt and ice melt products, weather monitoring, scheduling of treatable events and associated communications.
  • Prepares capital project budgets and operating budget reports. Prepares monthly operating budget variance reports.
  • Codes accounts payable invoices to ensure correct cost center accounting classification.
  • Oversees and provides supervision to landscape and irrigation contractors and vendors.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial landscape experience,
  • Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) preferred.
  • Must possess competent knowledge of principles of sustained outdoor activity in seasonal weather conditions.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial- related calculations; budget management experience.
