About The Role:
Under moderate supervision, conducts financial analysis/research to support Investment Banking initiative. Prepares financial models used to evaluate financial structures for investment banking transactions and details the analysis conducted to support that value. Analysis may be used for investment banking advisory services.
What You'll Do:
- Associates are expected to be an integral part of the investment advisory process across not only individual transactions but throughout the life cycle of our client mandates.
- Play an active role in investment advisory transactions from start to finish, including legal documentation and closing logistics.
- Prepare financial analyses in support of the firm's due diligence on secondary real estate investment mandates. Such analyses will include, complex modeling of fund and transaction structures, discounted cash flow analyses, and financial analyses including asset level valuation, multiple/cap rates, comparable transaction analyses, and market research.
- Review partnership agreements and other documents associated with transaction to understand and quantify the impacts on transaction, including any transfer restrictions and other unique situations that may arise.
- Prepare offering memoranda and due diligence questionnaires. All team members will be encouraged to offer insights and ideas regarding deal dynamics, creative transaction structures and deal terms that help lead to successful transactions.
- Coordinate with legal advisors, sellers, buyers, and GPs to help transfer assets.
- Assist with the tracking of secondary transaction volume and opportunities.

What You'll Need:

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Finance or related field or MBA and a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training in Real Estate/Corporate Finance/M&A/Leverage Finance.
- Series 79 and 63 preferred to enter job. Series 79 and 63 taken during first three months of employment.
- Strong financial acumen and excel modeling experience in building out complex transactions, carry waterfall structures, and sensitivity analysis; Proficiency in Argus a plus.
- Sound investment judgment and outstanding numerical, analytical and valuation skills for the purpose of assessing opportunities.
- Strong presentation and communication skills enabling the candidate to interact effectively with clients and with third parties.
- Entrepreneurial thought and action; motivated self-starter.
