As a CBRE HVAC/R Technician with a heavy focus on refrigeration, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment at various facilities. You will conduct proactive performance testing, scheduled maintenance, and solving to ensure the systems operate efficiently and align with industry standards and regulations.
What you'll do
- Install, repair, adjust, and maintain refrigeration systems used in commercial HVAC systems, including refrigeration compressors, industrial ultra-low freezers, air handling units, and other related equipment.
- Conduct proactive maintenance and diagnostic checks on HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure peak performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Solve sophisticated refrigeration system failures and determine the best course of action for repairs or modifications.
- Use existing procedures to solve standard problems while having the opportunity to contribute to operational improvements in refrigeration systems.
- Follow established guidelines and deliver work output under supervision, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain an understanding of safety codes, refrigerant handling regulations, and environmental guidelines to ensure safe operation and compliance.

What you'll need
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, with 1-2 years of job-related experience in refrigeration and HVAC systems. A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads (50 lbs. or more).
- Solid understanding of refrigeration systems, including fixing, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficient in the application of basic work routines, standards, and safety protocols specific to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Good communication skills for exchanging straightforward information with team members and supervisors.
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an inquisitive mindset.
