About the Role:

As a CBRE HVAC Install Tech, you will be supporting projects in the scientific, biotech, pharmaceutical, aerospace, high tech, and healthcare communities.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical installation and services in critical client environments.

What You'll Do:

• Erection of prefabricated environmentally controlled rooms (cold rooms, dry rooms, clean rooms) and similar products along with their related mechanical and control systems.

• Maintain, operate, and repair refrigeration systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, etc.

• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

• Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

• Operate test equipment. This includes multimeters, gauge manifolds, manometer, process calibrator.

• Coordinate the removal of equipment as it relates to end of useful life during replacement.

• Start-up of refrigeration systems and controls, assist in commissioning when appropriate.

• Review and document daily records of inspections, safety activity, repairs, and other work performed.

• Coordinate with external contractors on project deliverables, schedules, and milestone. Communicate with customer staff and outside contractors throughout duration of the project.

• Locate part sources, estimate costs, and prepare requisitions.

• Impact the quality of own work.

• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

• Occasionally travel throughout California for projects or meetings with contractors and clients.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.

• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.

• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects and BlueBeam software.

• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

• Knowledge on best practice installation methods and ability to read commercial construction blueprints and specifications.

• Proactive, ability to identify potential issues in the field and resolve prior to executing installation.

• Good interpersonal/communication skills

*California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training and experience. The salary range is $34 - $38 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.
