About the Role:
The HSE Supervisor is responsible for managing, implementing, and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental programs at the Santa Clara and Stevens Creek sites. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, with a strong focus on California-specific environmental and occupational safety standards. The HSE Supervisor will provide leadership in safety culture, oversee risk assessments, and ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors at the site. The HSE Supervisor position requires the candidate to live within thirty minutes of the site. This is a critical part of the role to ensure prompt response times and on-site availability as needed.

- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on changes in California safety, environmental, and occupational regulations.
- Develop and implement site-specific safety policies, programs, and procedures in line with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement controls to mitigate risks, particularly for high-risk activities such as working at heights, chemical handling, and electrical work.
- Lead investigations of workplace accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Design and deliver HSE training programs, including Cal/OSHA-specific trainings, for employees and contractors.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and certified for tasks requiring special skills (e.g., forklift operation, hazardous materials handling, working at heights).
- Foster a positive safety culture through ongoing communication, awareness campaigns, and engagement initiatives such as safety committees and regular safety meetings.
- Participate in and lead safety weeks and other HSE-related initiatives.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, chemical spill response, and other environmental programs.
- Ensure compliance with California-specific environmental laws, including those related to air quality, water discharge, and waste management.
- Work closely with the Facilities Management, Operations, and Senior Leadership teams to ensure HSE is integrated into all business processes. Provide regular updates and reports on safety performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience, preferably in California or a regulated industry. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and foster a safety-conscious culture.
- Experience conducting training sessions and managing competency programs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other relevant certifications preferred.
- In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
- Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Supervisor position is $95,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HSE Supervisor position is $98,500 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
