HSE Specialist
Many 1st shifts available now and some could move into a 2nd shift later on.

JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidates would be coming with EHS experience from high tech manufacturing type company with progressive safety programs / cutting edge technology type companies, highly automated with robotics.
The purpose of this position is to assist in the development of procedures and operational guidance within the HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be out on the manufacturing floor 75-80% of their day interacting with the production team, solving problems. Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience will be a big boost with a continuous improvement background and experience with a company with a very low TRIR (total recordable incident rate) or industry leading safety metrics.

Provides support for monitoring injury, illness, and incident related performance. Supports the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will improve the performance results as required.
Provides health, safety and environmental regulatory compliance support and reports findings, concerns, and deficiencies. Responds to client/customer/member concerns regarding HSE matters and will have the support of both the client and CBRE leadership teams to utilize stop work authority in alignment with our client and CBRE requirements of identifying unsafe acts or conditions that require hazard controls before proceeding.
Supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Client Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and client policies and procedures.
May act as an HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) subject matter resource for the facility, and other duties as assigned within the scope agreed to by CBRE HSE management and the client leadership team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum 2-5 years of experience degreed in manufacturing, EHS, engineering related experience. Fundamental knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety and environmental regulations is essential is preferred. Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and facility maintenance and management is preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
As required by local authority (if required).

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with a sense of urgency.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $80,000 annually [or $38.46 per hour] and the maximum salary for the position is $100,000 annually [or $48.07 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
