About The Role:

As a CBRE Location Analytics Associate, you will be responsible for producing basic geographic and demographic materials that would be leveraged for marketing and market analysis purposes.

This job is part of the Location Analytics function. They are responsible for developing and maintaining geographical information systems databases, applications, and tools.

What You'll Do:

  • Consult with sales professionals to define project requirements, identify project scope, and align on deliverables.
  • Obtain and maintain market data and conduct research on a consistent basis.
  • Produce small to medium-sized map-based deliverables with a heavy focus on paper and static maps.
  • Use third-party, non-traditional mapping platforms to produce best-in-class aesthetic deliverables.
  • Leverage quality assurance checklists to ensure static map project standards are adhered to.
  • Update databases containing geospatial data from multiple sources.
  • Catalog datasets according to department standards to build a common library of materials for use by GIS team.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the GIS Technician 2 position is $55,000 annually [or $26.44 per hour] and the maximum salary for the GIS Technician 2 position is $60,000 annually [or $28.85 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
