About the role

The purpose of the Construction Supervisor is to provide job site observation and supervision of general contractor work under single-prime and multi-prime project delivery methods. The ideal candidate will be familiar with construction sites in an industrial or manufacturing facility setting and will coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in the construction job sites.

What you'll do

  • Support the construction management team by observing and providing oversight of contractors working on site vendor walk-throughs and daily observation reports.
  • Support the construction management team by assisting with contract administration responsibilities including schedule updates, status updates, and change management using various project documentation tools and project job analysis.
  • Coordinate with the project management team to create a control system strategy to manage a mixture of on-site and office construction-related work.
  • Coordinate prime contractors in the field by anticipating upcoming work related to contractors and trades to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Support the construction management team with contract document review to resolve conflicts between contract documents and field conditions and analyze for constructability.
  • Review and analyze shop drawings and owner project information for constructability.
  • Evaluate and observe contractors' safety plans and their implementation.
  • Participate in overall project schedule development and management.
  • Collaborate with the project team to provide a high standard of supervision and ethical management of contractual responsibilities with the highest quality.
  • Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

What you'll need

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Technical program certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction field as a tradesperson, foreperson, superintendent, facilities engineer, or similar experience.
  • Prior experience reading and understanding construction documents, construction specs, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Autodesk, or AutoCAD preferred.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
