=About the Role:
As a CBRE Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of contractors and construction operations on small to medium construction projects for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery, construction safety, and construction quality.
This job is part of the Construction Management function. They are responsible for ensuring all deliverables of construction projects are completed safely and meet the design specifications.
This job is onsite in Zebulon, NC.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver construction projects successfully to the customer while minimizing all risk to CBRE and the customer. This incorporates issues such as safety risk assessments, ensuring proper authorizations and permits have been received from clients before beginning execution of the project, and ensuring proper coordination with the client's internal departments, operations organization and the client's other third-party suppliers has taken place to prevent work conflicts.
- Conduct daily site visits to monitor the progress of multiple construction projects. Review the status of work completed and confirm work is aligned with the approved drawings and specifications.
- Support project managers and contractors in preparing Construction Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analysis, and Permits to Work.
- Coordinate Permits to Work and other special permits prior to beginning construction activities.
- Review contract drawings, specifications, and assess for completeness and general compliance with best practices.
- Participate and contribute to constructability reviews.
- Coordinate and document commissioning activities.
- Assist with compiling system manual information and developing as-built drawings.
- Evaluate a project schedule and work with the project manager and contractors to develop recovery plans as needed.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Knowledge and construction experience in pharmaceutical production facilities and GxP environments.
- Strong knowledge of industry standard construction methods and safety.
- Ability to interpret the client's safety requirements and ensure contractors perform in alignment with those requirements.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
