About The Role:
CBRE Investment Management, a subsidiary of CBRE, is a leading global real assets investment management firm operating in over 30 offices and 20 countries around the world. This summer's intern position will be in Los Angeles on The Development Team. The Development Team oversees development projects in the U.S., across different product types and firm's capital sources. In the role, the intern will have the opportunity to:
- Work on financial modeling/reforecasting of existing and potential investments and developments
- Conduct research projects, including rationalizing a big data set to find trends
- Analyze construction costs and budgets
- Assist in the asset valuation process
- Review rental rates, vacancy rates, historic absorption rates, cap rates, current and future competition, demographic statistics, leasing information and other local market data as vital
- Maintain proficiency on submarkets by collecting, reviewing and verifying market information and supporting assumptions used in financial projections

CBRE Investment Management Internship Details:
A 10 - week, full-time, paid, internship with a potential opportunity to join the organization for a full-time role in the future.
In Addition To Team-Specific Work, The Intern Will:
- Network with CBRE IM leaders, as well as those within the larger CBRE organization.
- Learn from the best through a series of executive webinars with top company leaders.
- Be included in meetings, gaining the inside scoop of how our hard-working teams achieve results.
- Participate in social events and be given the opportunity to network with your fellow interns.
- Complete a full life-cycle, real asset investment group project and present findings to CBRE IM leadership at the end of the summer to showcase your work and abilities.
What You'll Need:
- Currently an undergraduate junior pursuing your undergraduate degree in Construction/Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Real Estate Development with courses in Business/Finance/Real Estate.
- Graduating in 2026
- Strong interest in real estate and construction/engineering.
- Problem solving proficiency and critical thinking skills.
- An ability to take initiative and be an entrepreneurial-minded, self-starter.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a drive to build a network in the real asset management industry
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Interest in learning how to use analytical investment management tools.
Nice To Have:
- Experience and proficiency with Bluebeam.
- Experience processing monthly draw requests
- Able to perform quantity take-offs.

CBRE Investment Management carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The maximum hourly Salary is $70/HR. The minimum hourly salary is $20/HR. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
