About the role

As a CBRE Business Systems Associate, you will be responsible for providing sophisticated support and technical help for basic issues related to a variety of software applications.

This role is part of the Business Systems Job Function. They are responsible for working with internal partners and business units to develop, install and improve new and current systems.

What you'll do

  • Identify sophisticated issues, research causes, and provide solutions for software application issues.
  • Review security and data reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Run detailed reports in response to client inquiries. Respond to requests to solve sophisticated software support used by internal teams.
  • Log, track, and assign work tickets with external product vendors or support organizations.
  • Assist in application implementations and testing end-user processes using defined guidelines.
  • Work in some phases of systems analysis and consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • Provide informal help to jr. team members including functional guidance and training.
  • Capture and analyze data to identify and tackle complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Ability to analyze data and business processes to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Understanding of key business processes and concepts, including project management and operations.
  • Skills in finding effective solutions to business problems and challenges.
  • Attention to detail in analyzing and documenting business processes and requirements.
  • Proficiency in handling a diverse range of tasks and projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various departments.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
  • Strong desire to continually improve and stay up-to-date with industry trends and standard methodologies.

What you'll need

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • Experienced with data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Power Automate) and knowledge of basic business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Forms and SharePoint.
  • Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
  • Both verbal and written communication skills are essential for documenting requirements, presenting findings, and interacting with stakeholders.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Business Analyst position is 80,000.00 annually [or $38.46 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Business Analyst position is $85,000.00 annually [or $40.86 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
