What You'll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all building mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment to ensure that building machinery and systems operate efficiently. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Work with building hvac energy management program.
  • Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned and document maintenance data.
  • Exercise daily work safe practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Follow departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures.
  • Mentor team members and share personal work-related knowledge/ experience that will help streamline operations.
  • Be a role model and conduct behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

What You'll Need:

To perform this job optimally, you will be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Highly motivated engineer that remains pro-active and is self-driven seeking to bring energy to the team.
  • Great communication skills verbal and non verbal.
  • Explain difficult or critical information and provide innovative solutions.
  • Experience in Commercial High Rise office tower environment in Houston area preferred.
  • General knowledge with chiller plant and boiler plant operations.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing experience required.
  • High School diploma, GED, or trade school diploma in lieu of a diploma. Combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred.
  • City of Houston stationary boiler license preferred.
  • State of Texas electrical license preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Friendly demeanor with an inquisitive mentality.
  • Team player
